Vivian Kearney

Vivian Stiglich Kearney, age 89, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late John Kearney. Together they raised three sons: Kevin (Lita) Kearney, Keith (Cindy) Kearney, Brian Kearney, and daughter Jaclynn (Tom) Swan.

Vivian ("Mitzi") had an extraordinary heart and compassionate spirit and committed her life to her family. Her legacy will live through her cherished grandchildren; John (Amber) Kearney, the late Jason Kearney, Michael (Salome) Kearney, Julie Stromski (Dustin), Dan Kearney, Nate Kearney, Kevin Swan, Grant Swan, Caroline Swan, and great grandchildren; Everly Stromski and Bryn Stromski.

Vivian was a regular at the Rivers Casino, playing her favorite slot machines, and she always loved a good hand of poker. She was an avid black and gold fan, especially the Steelers and Penguins; and of course, the blue and gold of the Panthers. Vivian was a true Pittsburgher through and through, who had a smile for everyone and countless stories of her early years in Lawrenceville (38th street).

Friends are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 10am to 11am for visitation, immediately followed by an 11am Blessing service at the Funeral Home by Father Leroy DiPietro.
