Willard "Bill" Wigley

Willard "Bill" Wigley, of West View and McCandless, passed away on the morning of October 16, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh PA to the late Charles and Lillian Mae (Clark). Bill was married to Jessie Reed Wigley, who preceded him in death in 1983.

Bill was the owner of Wigley's Tavern on East Street and later retired from Schroeder Brothers. He was a long-time member of Hiland Presbyterian Church. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army Signal Corps. He also enjoyed being outdoors and being fun-loving and outgoing with friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Clark (Pam), Jill, and Craig (Dawn) Wigley and grandchildren Ben Wigley, Theresa Ellis, Ryan Wigley and Jessie Wigley. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Verna Appleton, Lois Reed, Lula Perlik and Charles Wigley.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at H.P Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home, with Interment following at Hiland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Bill's memory to a charity of your choosing.
