Alex Joseph Revaz lifetime resident of Placerville passed away on Friday, April 29th, 2022, at the age of 91. After several months of declining health, Alex died peacefully with beloved family members by his side.
Alex was born on January 29,1931, to father, Alex and mother, Lillie Revaz. The oldest of two children, Alex attended the University of Davis, before being drafted into the US Army. He was stationed in Korea.
At the end of the war, Alex returned to home where he met his wife Barbara Anne Garske and married her on January 23, 1955. They made their home in the heart of Placerville where he was employed by several companies which included Prescott Engineering, Aerojet, and El Dorado Irrigation District.
Alex was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Richard Anthony Revaz; his sister Betty Choate in November of 2021. He is survived by his Son, Ronald Joseph Revaz (Wife Candace); Grandchildren Alyssa Anne Cook, Jennifer Mary Vance, and Nicholas Joseph Revaz; Great-grandchildren Preston, Graysen, Noah, and Bennett.
The funeral is planned for Thursday, April 26, 2022. A funeral mass will begin at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento Street, Placerville, Ca. Reception to immediately follow at the new American Legion Hall at 4561 Greenstone Road, Placerville. All are invited to attend.
