Grandma,
I’m not sure were to begin besides my heart is aching with loss and disappointment but also some relief. For the entire family, your loss has affected us all you’re truly missed by many. Disappointment is an understatement. I was so close to you but so far away I wish I could have spent more time with you.  I wanted my crazy but sometimes cute kids to meet the greatgrandma who makes the best cardboard houseware with all the necessary buttons, drawers, and even some color! I remember hearing veggie tales in the background and hearing some stories from you.  I am relieved to know you are out of pain and are no longer hurting anymore grandma. I know you would want us to remember the joyful times we all had with you and I can totally remember the smile you had! It was my favorite part of you. This is the first death I’ve ever experienced in my life. Your viewing was my first one and being at my first funeral for you and experiencing the feeling other people get when they deal with loss is something I’ve never prepared for. I don’t think there is anyway to actually prepare for the loss of someone you love.  I think it is also suppose to bring everyone together and cherish the moments we did have with you. I’m sure there are no exact words to tell the people around you that are dealing with such loss other than we can all be here for each other. Through all the good and all the bad. Do you want to know something funny? After we went to say good bye to you, I got to meet Julie.  Afterwards, we went out to dinner, I sat next to her and honestly just kept staring at her (yes like a creeper) I don’t think she noticed though, that’s weird if she did. Sorry Julie. Anyway she looked just like you did, except with long hair I just kept picturing being there with you! I know your up with the angles now.  I want you to know how deeply sorry I am for the distance between us.  I love you grandma so much and miss you incredibly!  Please Watch over all of us crazies❤️❤️

My message to Carmen 🌼 I pondered and prayed over what to say in front our family and all your friends who loved you dearly it hit me when I was chatting with Julie Thursday thankfully she got me through the first half of my trip home.  We both asked what now where do we go from here Julie and Arnie with no parents here on earth my dad not having his Sweetie with him every day and the rest of us wishing we had just one more moment with you wishing we could have seen you just one more time.  That smile was contagious I remember it vividly.  Always in the kitchen and oh those darn apple pies I will never forget how big and scrumptious they were.  The times we got to spend with you and dad and always putting the Lord in our minds with vegie tales for the kids and lets not forget the VBS and me getting a break for a week thank you so much again for that and I am going to do my very best to get my  grandkids your great grandchildren all 5 of them to VBS, I told dad on Friday I wish I planned things better and took a week off so Jude could go with Kay and Gabe this year but next year I will do a much better plan and take time off work because I know you will love watching them learn about our Lord and what he can do for us.  He truly is the only reason I am getting through this and knowing that you are not in pain anymore helps with the sorrow I am feeling.  I also promise that I will do my very best to stay connected with my bother Arnie and my sister Julie but most importantly my dad.  I promise to make sure he knows we are all here and he will not be alone.  I am very thankful you both found Pastor Joseph and Dave because the night you passed I was 3 hours away and couldn’t get home to be with dad but Pastor Joseph was.  Carmen you will be forever remembered and forever loved until we meet again in His kingdom I love  you and am comforted knowing we have another beautiful angel watching over us.  

Carmen was the chaperone to my first youth grip trip in HS to Arizona. She helped me feel welcomed with warm open arms. She eased my nerves as an incoming freshman. Carmen was a warm, loving, and spiritual woman. Milt and Carmen were the reason I felt welcomed and a part of the team that built houses for the poor. I will never forget you Carmen and I know you're up in heaven looking down on us, no longer in pain. 

Am very thankful that Carmen has been part of lives and church ministry for the past 20 years. She brought her sweet Christ-like spirit to every act of love and service. She loved God's Word and God's work. It seems way too soon for her to be away from us. We shared quite a few good discussions over meals over the year. In spite of her many surgeries and persistent pain she always contributed something positive to our lives.  Our hearts are with you, Milt. What a wonderful lady, sweet Christian, and faithful wife she has been. God's grace was revealed through her in many, many ways. Her service in AWANA Boys and Girls programs, Children Churches, Sunday School, Bible Study Fellowship, and CASA were huge investments made by her in the lives of children. We will never forget you, dear Carmen.

Being in the sales occupation , I have met thousands of people. I can say on occasion you meet someone with a beautiful soul that comes out in their smile. I feel blessed to have been chosen to be in the path that led us together , be it only a sunny afternoon picking out a new car , it was more than that , it was building a friendship that I will certainly cherish forever. My best wishes go out to her husband Milton , family and all those her smile touched along the way.
