

We lost our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the age of 66 following a brief illness. Carol was born to Joe Carl Davis and Willie Mae (Copeland) Davis on January 9, 1947 in Paramount, California. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Ken L. Rohlfing of Camino, California; her daughter; Carrie M Mowry of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;, her brother, Carl Davis of Victorville, California;, her stepson and wife Ken and Rhonda Rohlfing of Drake's Branch, Virginia their children Jessie and Mark; stepson and wife Larry and Maggie Rohlfing of La Habra Heights, California, their children Armando, Edmund, Eric, Jessica, Maureen, Joseph, and Russell.
Carol graduated from Paramount High School. She received her Nursing diploma from the Los Angeles County Medical School of Nursing in 1969. Carol served as an emergency room and intensive care nurse for most of her career. She worked at Los Angeles County Hospital, Downey Community Hospital, Long Beach Community Hospital, Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe, and then Marshall Medical Center in Placerville. Carol studied diligently to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Biola University in 1992. Carol loved to entertain, and perform in the women's barbershop singing organization, Sweet Adeline's International, singing in the Sierra Gold Chorus of Placerville, the Camellia City and Sacramento Valley Choruses of Sacramento; in addition to a number of quartets. In the past few years, Carol had endured many health issues, yet she never lost her sense of humor, loyalty to her family and friends, her wisdom, compassion, laughter, and unwavering love for her family, friends and her Lord, Jesus Christ. Carol will be missed greatly.
A memorial service will take place Friday, March 29th at 2:30 p.m. at Pioneer Bible Church, 6851 Mt. Aukum Road, Somerset, CA 95684, 530-620-4859.
