I 1st met you when I was very new & was scheduled to work night shift....you were making voodoo  dolls 😄😄.. you are still very much in my heart & I miss you & our friendship very much...I understood you & you understood me...

Carol my friend  it's now 2021! I think as much as I miss you I'm very glad you're not experiencing covid-19...you wouldn't like it at all! I miss you greatly & I think back to our last trip to Barnes &Noble.  There were so many books we wanted but we both had budgets to stick to...I remember we were both on the quiet side that day.  We both had things on our minds but I don't really remember what they were. We had a side by side solitude day...funny because you were the one to mention how quiet we both were. 
I have no one to be quiet with now & I miss that. I miss you.   There is an author you would enjoy very much! 


Its almost Christmas....we could have been @ Barnes & Nobles shopping!  I miss you very much....its been lonely without you.
I'm retired now....I wish you had stayed but I understand....
In case someone reads this...Carol really liked the bookstores...we would look @ new titles & odd things! We both enjoyed peculiar books on different subjects....in the bookstores Carol lightened up just having moments of peacefulness  looking at the things she was interested in.... it was fun to see her eyes sparkle as she found some book interesting...
We could spend literally hours rummaging through different genres & making lists of books to get @ a later time!

I knew Carol for almost 28 years. She was my 1st friend at my new job.  She was hilariously funny, kind, & quirky. Carol's  twisty sense of humor sparked with mine & we  we shared so many things in common. Among those things were the love of Stinson Beach, books, our dogs, kids, and later, our grandkids. We went to UC Davis Goat day several times...what a kick that was! 
Carol was a private person, but she allowed me into  her private inner life & struggles.  
Through the moves to Pennsylvania,  then Colorado,  then back to California,  we never lost each other......I love Carol deeply, and will miss her forever. 
To her family, Dan, Lisa, Laura....I can only imagine the grief and heartache you have.
I will carry you all in my heart ...
I can not imagine her not being here,  but my deepest wish is that she is at peace, & that eventually all of us that love her  will also after time find peace & healing. Bye Carol, your light has dimmed, but you will live in my heart forever...Karen
