On June 15th at 4:42am, the good Lord welcomed my loving brother Christian Leon Simon home. He is finally at peace and his soul can rest. He went peacefully and comfortably lying in bed next to his mother and father.
Now that my brother has been called home to rest, we shall celebrate his life and the everlasting memory he has left on us all. We will have his ceremony at Chapel of the Pines, 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, CA at 12:30 pm. We will not mourn but yet rejoice in his memory. Lift him up in prayer and hold him there where he will watch over us all.
Afterwards, we will walk to the natural burial ground where we will lay him down to rest. He will be planted as nurturance to help nurture his tree and bind together with the tree as one. He will ultimately become a living, growing tree of love & memories.
Lastly, we will hold a reception at Cameron Park Lake (2989 Cambridge Rd, Cameron Park, CA 95682) of course attending the reception is optional! There will be snacks and drinks provided. All families are welcome to come and reminisce in my brother’s memory. We will also be releasing sky lanterns with memory tags (each of us will make our own) attached. We will simultaneously release the lanterns into the beautiful night sky as a tribute to Christian. Again, participating is optional. I do encourage all to come and share their stories of how Christian has touched each of us. If you plan on coming to the reception please comment below so I can get an accurate head count for food.
