Frank Bridges Jr.

Frank Bridges, Jr., born January 15, 1924, passed away peacefully August 14, 2014. Loving husband of Elizabeth (Betty) for the last 69 ½ years. Born in North Miami, Oklahoma to Frank and Rachel Bridges. He was the loving father of Frank (Marie), Loretta and Daniel. Loving grandpa of Dana (Chris), Gary (Angie), Breonna, Kathy, Todd, Sunni and families. He was the loving great grandpa of Larissa, Gary (Scootie), Courtney, Colby and Carissa. Loving friend of Smitty. He is survived by his sister Rema Bridges and predeceased by Sister Loretta Young. He was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Frank served in the US Army Air corps during WWII and was a firefighter at McClelland Air Force Base, retiring as Chief in 1978. He was greatly loved and will never be forgotten. Thank you Dad for being you.

A Funeral Mass and Vigil Service will be held tomorrow, Thursday, August 21, 2014 beginning at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento St., Placerville. Reception to follow. Private inurnment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Placerville. Remembrances in Frank’s name may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or the Mother Teresa Maternity Home, 3122 Sacramento St, Placerville, CA 95667.
