Geneva Marie Callahan was born January 13, 1925, in a covered wagon as her family crossed Texas on their way to Arizona. She passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2011, with loved ones at her side. She was preceded in death by her only son, Jimmie Lee Callahan, on October 21, 2011. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jeffie Lee Callahan; daughter, Stella Callahan Akers; grandsons, Scott Callahan, Jeffry Bowman, Patrick Trotter-Callahan and Matthew Akers; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.
Friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, December 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the funeral service on Tuesday, December 6, at 1:30 p.m., both at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville, California. Interment will follow immediately at Westwood Hills Memorial Park.
