A Vietnam veteran, a 31 year career with the California Highway Patrol and a devoted family man. Gerry's lifetime of service to others exemplifies what it means to be a true American. I am proud to have met him. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

I first met Jerry years ago in Old Sacramento on the Delta Queen. And being with Jerry no matter what the activity you always knew there was going to be lots of laughter and lots of fun and that's the way I will always remember him. I pray that God gives each family and friend the strength needed during this very difficult time. God bless Jerry for blessing the lives of so many people with laughter that will live on through the lives that he touched
