Gladys Preston

Gladys J. Preston passed away peacefully on October 2, 2012 in Placerville, CA. Gladys was born in Bridgeport, Oklahoma on May 19, 1914 and was 98 years old. She is the loving mother of John (Jan) Massingale of Cameron Park, the Late Richard Massingale and step-mother of Jerry (Caroline) Preston of Pollock Pines. Grandmother of Kim, Bonnie, John, Dana and Eric. Great grandmother of 5.

Gladys was a resident of Riverside from 1921 to 2009. She was a Librarian at Riverside City Schools, Past President of the P.E.O., Riverside Chapter and was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Riverside including the women’s group.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Riverside, 4845 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA 92506. Committal services will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside. Contributions in Gladys’ name may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Riverside.
