Jacquelyn Sue Hicks Cerrato at the age of 87 passed away peacefully in her home in Shingle Springs on 3/8/25 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born 3/5/38 in Evansville Indiana. She moved to California with her mother Sadie Hicks at age 5. They lived in the bay area until she met the love of her life Robert Cerrato. They moved to Shingle Springs in 1988, and together they built and designed their forever home overlooking their beautiful lake. They were married 70 years and raised 6 children. Jackie was very involved with being a homemaker, in PTA, Girl Scouts and foster care. Her hobbies included painting, carving and jewelry making. She was an active member of the El Dorado Mineral and Gem Society and was the club president for several years. One of the highlights of Jackie’s life was hosting the annual camp cousin’s event for her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren at the family home for 31 years. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories that we shared and her love and warmth. We will hold her close to our hearts, knowing that you will always be loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Jackie is proceeded in death by her children Nancy Cerrato Flavel, John Cerrato and grandson Anthony Cerrato. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Robert Cerrato; and children Roberta Cerrato Harrison, Gina Cerrato Kilmer, Angela Cerrato Baldwin and Vaughn Cerrato; Grandchildren Shannon, Kyle, Robert, Stephanie, Natalie, Matthew, Steven, Michael, Justin, Brittany, Alysia, Ryan, Emily, Tyler and Ricky; and greatgrandchildren Tyler, Andrew, Athena, Zoey, Penny, Emma, Brooks, Crosby, Anthony, Kinsley, Maeve, Joaquin, William, Roman and Oliver.
