Janice Gay Hass

Our beloved Mom, Granny and Aunt, age 78, passed away on October 27, 2017. She was born in Sacramento on July 8, 1939 to Marvin and Georgiana Slocum. She graduated from Sacramento High School in 1957, and went to work for the telephone company as an operator. She married Robert Hass and they had two daughters. She was a kind and protective Mom, always waking the girls gently in the mornings so that they would start their day well. She took her first trip to Disneyland at the age of 75, and she had fun.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Georgiana Slocum, her husband Robert Hass, her daughter Monica Hass, and her sister Georgia DeMartini. She leaves behind her daughter Patricia Ocenosak (Mike) of Camino, stepson Daniel Hass of Sacramento, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends that she loved. The family is grateful to Snowline Hospice for the care that they provided.
