Jimmie Lee Callahan

Jimmie Lee Callahan, a 33-year El Dorado County resident, was born September 2, 1947 in Richmond, California. He passed away peacefully on October 21, 2011 in Cameron Park, California after a lengthy illness. Jimmie is survived by his loving parents, Jeffie Lee and Geneva Callahan; sister, Stella Callahan Akers; nephews, Scott Callahan, Jeffrey Bowman, and Matthew Akers; niece, Nicole Smith; grand nephews, Brian Callahan, Daniel Akers, Benjamin Akers, and Nicholas Akers; grand nieces, Christina Bowman, Melissa Bowman, Alex Akers, Mandy Akers, and Samantha Akers; great grand nieces, Marissa Smith and Haley Callahan. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Friends are invited to the visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2011, 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m., and the funeral service on Monday, October 31, 2011, 10:30 a.m., both at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, California, 530-622-3813. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
