Dear Tom and Family,

I would like to express my condolences on Joan's passing. I was not aware of this loss.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Joan when I was an outsourcing vendor and was involved in negotiations with her when she was at Dentons. Joan was the epitome of professionalism, integrity and class. I have never worked with anyone like her and feel blessed to have had that experience.

My prayers go out to all of you.

Kind regards,
Barry Thompson

Dear Tom and Family - I am so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I worked with Joan at both Thelen and Dentons -- we soldiered through together. For me, Joan was always a knowing, humorous, and optimistic shoulder to lean on. We loved telling Maine stories and thinking about that prior life for both of us -- all the while navigating the new life. I will truly miss her. But I will always remember the stories, the smiles, and the Maine lilt she could switch on whenever she felt the urge...

Dear Tom and Family,

I am so very saddened by this news. I worked with Joan at Dentons, where she was a steady and caring hand at the tiller. We stayed in touch after I left and she shared photos of her dress for your daughter's wedding. She was so very proud of her family and so delighted to share her happiness.
I spoke to her last this past fall. She assured me that she was determined to beat this horrible thing and enjoy her life. Truly gone to soon. A wonderful person with a large heart and yes, that Maine common sense.
Warm memories to you all. So very sorry for your loss.

Dear Tom and Family:
I am deeply saddened by the news of Joan's passing. I worked and laughed with Joan as one of her consultants. We shared our memories of growing up "upstate", She a true Mainer to heart - me from the eastern shore of Lake George. She loved the fact that I knew "Burt and I" tapes even though not from Maine and I could recite them.
Joan was a friend and colleague. She was a well grounded with solid integrity and unimpeachable ethics.
She will be missed by all who were fortunate to have crossed her path.
Go with God Joan. We will all miss you.

Dear Tom and Family:

I am very sad to hear about Joan's passing. I worked with Joan for a number of years at Thelen, and we kept in touch after we both moved on. Joan was a terrific colleague. She had a rare combination of talents and characteristics - intelligent, pragmatic and forceful, yet empathetic, kind and humane. Joan never lost sight of her principles, or her sense of humor. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Tom & Family,

Joan was a great mentor and friend. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have met Joan will tell you how passionate she was. Joan was a fighter and one of the strongest people I have ever known. She will be missed.

Tom, I found a photo of you and Joan from one of our dinner dates (February 2015).

Dear Tom and Family,

Joan and I worked together for many years at Thelen Reid & Priest. We were both from Maine, and that created a unique. unbreakable bond of friendship. She was a fantastic, intelligent, fair and wise administrative leader. I will miss her beyond description.
