John J Lamkin

John was a caring person who was a friend to many and maintained some of those friendships throughout his life. His older brother, Rob, was his best pal and he treasured the times they had together.

John attended grade school in Laguna Niguel, California and Mountain View, California prior to the family moving to El Dorado County, California in 1973. He attended Charles Brown and Herbert Green grade schools; then graduated from Ponderosa High School.

He started his career as a cook, and then later did construction and maintenance work until his health did not permit it. For the past six years he did remote work as a Solar Analyst for Cool Earth Solar.

John enjoyed watching and playing sports with his son, Justin, who brought a lot of joy to his life. He also loved animals, gardening, and the outdoors.

John was married to Renee in 1997 and they have resided in El Dorado County throughout their time together. He loved Renee deeply and spoke of her often.

John passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family.

John was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lamkin Sr., and is survived by his wife Renee, his son Justin; his brother, Rob and wife Jill; his nephew Jacob and wife, Amy; his niece Jessa; and his mother, Avis; and a host of relatives and friends. He will remain in our hearts forever.
