John Arthur Rigsby

John Arthur Rigsby was born April 28, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away April 21, 2012 in Sacramento, California. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Paulette Rigsby; father of Steve Rigsby and Erika Foster; proud father-in-law of Palmira Rigsby and Brian Foster. He especially loved his grandchildren, Kelsey Lauzon, Steven Rigsby and his wife Kayla, Coleman Lauzon, Michael Rigsby, Austin Rigsby, Holly Rigsby, and his precious first great-granddaughter Kylee Rigsby. Also surviving are his much loved sister-in-law Peggy Rigsby and children Tiffiny Rigsby, Dusty Rigsby and wife Leslee, parents to Donnie, and a large and loving extended family including many cousins and their families.

John was a Past President of the El Dorado County Deputies Association, long-term member of the Mother Lode District School Board, E.I.D. Board member, and long-time member of the Timber Little League, El Dorado Community Hall, Mother Lode Lion’s Club and Lakeside Oregon Lion’s Club. He also coached both boys and girls in a variety of sports at Herbert Green School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Reedsport, Ore. John enjoyed working with kids of all ages through encouragement, mentoring and support of their endeavors, especially involving the challenges of athletics.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Friday, May 4, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento Street, Placerville, California.
