Joseph Thomas Silici, 77, of El Dorado, California, passed away on October 4, 2026.
Born and raised in Daly City, California, Joseph moved with his family to El Dorado County in 1976, where he began building a life centered around his family, his faith, his work, and the many adventures he loved. Not long after moving to El Dorado County, Joseph built his first home for his family with his own hands: a testament to his incredible talent, determination, and his desire to create a place for the people he loved.
Joseph was a strong believer in God, and his faith was an important part of his life. He loved attending Green Valley Community Church, where he found fellowship, friendship, and a place to grow in his faith.
Joseph worked as a custom cabinet designer, a craft that perfectly suited his natural ability to create and build. There was very little he couldn't figure out how to make or repair. Whether he was designing beautiful custom cabinetry or tackling a project at home, he had a gift for working with his hands and making things happen.
But more than anything, Joseph loved his family and loved having a good time. He enjoyed camping, hunting, dancing, and simply being together with the people he loved. He was the life of the party; the person who was always ready for a good time, a good laugh, or the next adventure. His personality could light up a room, and his love of life was contagious.
Joseph leaves behind his children, Joseph Silici Geurts, Jessica Pingree, Noah Silici, Mariea Rummel, Hannah Marion, Frank Silici, and Domonic Silici-Wheeler, as well as his grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
He will be remembered for his incredible ability to build, his hard working spirit, his love of adventure, his sense of humor, his strong faith, and most of all, his deep love for his family. The home he built, the things he created, the faith he shared, and the memories he made will remain as lasting pieces of the life he shared with those around him.
Joseph lived life in his own way, with his family close, his faith guiding him, a project always waiting to be built, and a good time never too far away. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A private service will be held with immediate family.
