Kitrinca "Tinker" Elaine Akers, 79, of Placerville, California, passed away on September 13, 2026. Born January 27, 1947, in California, Kitrinca will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude by all who knew her.
Tinker was preceded in death by Shawné Choat Silveira (daughter); Monwillia Nuñez (mother); Jim Akers (father); Manuel Silveira (husband); and Cynthia Sotelo and Amber Koontz (sisters).
She is survived by Cody and Kortnie Silveira (grandson & wife); Bob Nuñez (brother); Sherri Nuñez Salvicjo (sister); Candice Nuñez (sister); her dear close friend Ron Christianson; and numerous friends and extended family members, including neighbors Kate, Kary, and Jesse, who helped her so much.
Known to many as Tinker, she brought steady dedication and a generous spirit to the communities she touched. Tinker enjoyed being a musician and traveled all over the United States—Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Reno, and Yellowstone—playing music until she retired. Her willingness to share what she knew was evident in the many ways she taught others: gold panning, putting on lookouts for students, teaching local kids history locally, and Native American bead work.
For over 30 years, Tinker was a very important part of Coloma’s historic interpretative community. Above all, she held close a profound love for her family—especially her daughter and grandson—as well as her wider circle of family and friends.
The family would like to thank Golden Hill Care Center, Hospice, and the oncology doctors who took great care of Tinker this past year.
