Larry Seckman

Larry Wayne Seckman, 61, of Placerville was born to the late Jonathan and Beatrice (Thompson) Seckman in San Diego, CA on March 4, 1949. Larry was a cancer survivor but was overcome by other health issues. He passed away at Kaiser South Hospital on August 18, 2010. Larry was raised in Santa Clara. Mr. Seckman was a veteran of the United States Army (1969-1974) serving in Vietnam. After serving our country, he moved to Placerville to raise his family. Larry was a truck driver for over 20 years before retiring. He is survived by his first wife Theresa with whom he had two children; Angela Copeland and “AJ” Seckman. 3 grandchildren; Dylan and Dustin Copeland and baby Seckman. One brother Ken Gembolish and one sister Betty Trent. Larry had numerous friends and was a stranger to no one. He was preceded in death by his parents and second wife Sharron in 2009. Funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., on Sunday, August 29 at 11:00p.m. with Pastor Tim Thompson officiating.
