My name is Walter Ellis. I served with Larry in the Sea Bees and played in a trio with him and Bob Langley while in Scotland. We did not stay in touch, but the memories are wonderful. He was a great guy.

To Larry's family. I am sorry for your loss. I served with your father in the Seabee's. I had the distinct pleasure of going on 2 separate details with Larry. Once at NCS Guam, and the other was Edzell Scotland. He was very talented. We would sit on the lawn in front of our barracks in Edzell and Larry, Bob & Wally would entertain us. Soon the whole group of barracks would show up and all would enjoy. He will be missed far and wide.

Dear Veronica,
I want you to know that today's service for your Dad was so beautiful. So many people there who love him and you. He truly was a wonderful man and father. I am so very sorry that god needed his angel too soon for us. I too will miss my uncle Larry. Grief is the price we pay for love. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. With all our love.

Im so sorry for your loss of your dad, even though I didn't get to know him all that well, he made me laugh and he loved the music, such as I. The Jam sessions in Folsom a few years back. A great cook! Too young to go.

To the family of my friend Lawrence whom I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with him the past 20+ years. I will miss him talking about "Bink", I'll miss his "Duranisms", and him carrying around those drum sticks which I'm sure he's using up in Heaven right now. My prayer for you all is that you have comfort knowing that Lawrence sowed love and compassion; therefore you'll reap the same. Rest in peace my friend.

Steve and I are very sad over your loss. Human words can't always express our thoughts/feelings. So it is from our hearts we say we love you, we will always love you, and we lift you in prayer to the most High.
Your Dad is now looking out for you, as he always did, but in a different way. He lives in you, you are his pride and you are his joy. Shine on Binky!
Call us if and when you have need of anything.
With so much love,
Karen and Steve

My mother Nancy and my family were surprised and sadden with Lawrence's passing. He was a visiting nurse for my Mom Nancy and they joked together on his visits with her and his care in regards to my Mom was exceptional. I hope his family knows Heaven received a very loving and special angel.

Veronica, I am proud to say I was once your Dad's "work wife" as he used to call me. He became one of the best friends I have ever had. He was always kind, generous, and willing to help anyone out. He was a gentleman, and a great nurse. He always had that way of telling me what I needed to hear, even though I really did not want to hear it. He was one of my best friend, my brother, my mentor, my teacher in life and nursing. The thing i will remember the most is his love for his "Bink" he loved you so much and was so proud of you. Please know he lives in your heart as he does in all of the hearts he touched in his life. I am a better person having known him.

Veronica, As I have said there are no words to make this any less painful!! I do know time helps heal some of the pain, but the life we have had prior to losing a parent is never the same. Please know you have family and friends who will do anything to help you through this terrible time.

Love You
