Loel Dean Davis

March 25, 1945 - July 10, 2016

Dean Davis, 71 of Placerville was called home to be with his Lord and Savior July 10th 2016.

Dean was born March 25, 1945 in Sturgis, South Dakota to Bernard and Freda Davis. He moved to Placerville in 1961 where he met his wife, the love of his life, Patricia.

Dean founded Davis Logging Co. in 1976 and operated until his retirement in 2008. Overall, he worked in the logging industry for 47 years. After his retirement he focused on his family, friends, and his church family.

Dean will forever be in the hearts of his wife of 50 years, Patricia, his two sons Jeff and Mark as well as their wives, Caroline and Stephanie, grandsons Ryan and Gregory, and granddaughters Madelyn and Sophia. He will also be greatly missed by his two sisters and numerous loved ones.

A public visitation for Dean will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6 till 8 pm at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, CA. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am at the Funeral Home with a private interment at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville. Contributions in Dean’s name may be made to the Building Fund of Pleasant Oak Baptist Church, 1731 Pleasant Valley Road, Placerville, CA 95667.
