Lois Juanita Wells (nee Parnell, formerly Cederberg) was born in Pocola, Oklahoma, in March of 1936 to the late Claud Harvey and Agnes Juanita (nee Steelman) Parnell. She passed away in Placerville, California, at the age of 90.
Lois had a warm heart and independent spirit, enjoyed art in all it's forms, read widely and expressed herself creatively through sewing, cooking and design. She believed "no learning is ever wasted". Lois was a natural athlete and excelled at track and field and in tennis. After high school she trained as a dental assistant then later branched out into retail sales which she particularly enjoyed.
Lois's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Parker (husband Jeffery); granddaughters Afton Sutherland (husband Andrew) and Kara Fletcher (husband Daniel); her cherished great-grandchildren Aliyah, Emmelie and Mason; many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law and dear friends.
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come. Rabindranath Tagore.
