

Lucy Yuill, 87, passed away at 6:30pm November 11, 2011 with her daughter, Pat Ballesteros, by her side. Lucy was diagnosed in December 2010 with bladder cancer & was given 6 months to live. She turned that six months left into 11 months of fully living in the present. Lucy was born 4/11/1924 on Market St., Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her family moved to Portland, Maine where she lived until she met, then married Bobbie Max Lobdell, who served in the Navy They moved to her husbands home in Oakland, California. They had one child on 9/16/1947 (Pat). Bob passed away from a massive heart attack at 39 in 1963. She then enrolled in a business class to help her join the workforce. She was hired by Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) in Oakland. There she met Bob Yuill and was married for the second time. After a few years they gravitated to Bob's hometown Sparks, Nevada. Both working in Sparks for CED. Bob Yuill passed away & Lucy moved to Rancho Cordova, CA to be closer to her daughter & granddaughter, Anna Maree Ballesteros. She transferred to CED's Rancho Cordova's shop where she retired in the early 1980's. In the late 1980's she moved back to Portland, Maine to be with most of her siblings. She lived there until returning to California when her youngest great grandchild was born in 2000. Lucy was a resident of Placerville for 11 years and really loved living in the foothills. She is proceeded in death by: Louise Regina Mancini, mother; Antonio Mancini, father; Pat Mancini, sister; Bobbie Max Lobdell, 1st husband/father of daughter; Robert Yuill, 2nd husband; She is survived by: Patricia Ballesteros, daughter; Anna Maree Ballesteros, granddaughter; great-grandchildren, Chaz Raymond Deal, 18; Miranda Maree Deal, 16; Ian Michael Deal, 11; siblings, Nick Mancini, Joe Mancini, John Mancini (Doris); Charles Mancini (Wynona); Rosalie White (Jack); and many nieces and nephews. She was loving and devoted grandmother and great grandmother, an avid reader; a wonderful cook; an accomplished fisherwoman; a great organizer; and made strong relationships along her life's journey. She always endeavored to do the "right" thing. She embraced life-long learning & shared her new knowledge with everyone. She will be greatly missed by family members & friends. However, she will continue to live in our hearts forever. Based on Lucy's wishes there will not be a viewing or funeral. A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date.
