

Margaret Ann Volz passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 25, 2016 at age 97. Margaret was born in Vinita, OK, Indian Territory to James and Eleanor Hendricks. She moved to Placerville at age 13, she attended El Dorado High School class of 1936. She met the love of her life, Stanley Volz, they were married in the historic Federated Church in Placerville September 5, 1936. Together they raised their family on the Hendricks family ranch where they also owned and operated Stan’s Custom Meats for many years. Margaret always put God and her family first in her life. She cherished most the time with her children, grandchildren and all her extended family and friends. She was a loving, selfless, beautiful woman. She was an amazing influence on all who knew her. Showing and teaching how to always trust in God and have faith in even the most difficult of times. We are comforted in knowing that she is now in heaven with her beloved Stanley, parents and 11 siblings. A day she has been looking forward to. We will hold her in our hearts and love and cherish her memory forever. She is survived by her children: Suzanne Marie Volz, Jan Eric Volz and Marilyn Volz-Abercrombie (John). Grandchildren: Alicia Alison DeRienzo (Ben), Eric Stanley Volz, Megan Joy Volz and Erika Margaret Meyer (Chris). Great grandchildren: Henry and Isla DeRienzo, Clayton and Silas Meyer. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 2nd 2016 at 10;00am at Westwood Hills Memorial Park with a reception following at 12;00pm at the home of John and Marilyn Abercrombie. 1 Corinthians 2;9, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him”.
