Marie Margaret Springer

December 31, 1927 – February 14, 2016

Margaret Springer, age 88, was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah on December 31, 1927 and passed away on February 14, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Margaret worked most of her adult life as a bookkeeper and salesperson for local businesses. She retired three years ago after working 30 years at Edwards A-1 Appliances.

Margaret married her husband of 68 years on November 3, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Bressan, and her husband, Robert. She is survived by her daughter Linda Hansen (Rick); son Robert Jr. (Gizelle); grandchildren Kenny (Kathy) Brown, Daryl Brown, Gina (Dennis) Kauffman, Stephanie (Chris) Ezell, and Phillip (Haley) Springer; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Macintosh, Elizabeth, Matilda, Callie and Robert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a town full of friends. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and will truly be missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a rosary service Monday, February 22 at 7:00 pm at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd. in Placerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, February 23 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento St. in Placerville, followed by burial at El Dorado Cemetery at Church and Cemetery streets in El Dorado.
