Patricia Marie Metzger

Patricia “Patty” Metzger born in Los Angeles, CA. on March 3, 1947, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2023 at age 76 after a brave decision to “fight” her newly diagnosed cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and “cat mom.”

She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Campbell (1987), sister, Sheriee Pace (2016), sister and brother in law, Sharon & Jerry Holiday (2018) and grandson, Justin Pearson (2020). She is survived by her son, Rick Luttrell, daughter and son in law, Cindy & David Burdette, and son and daughter in law, Shayne & April Luttrell, her sister, Pam Vance and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving grandmother to Cody Burdette, Courtney Watts (Burdette), Jordan Crutchfield (Luttrell), Travis Luttrell, Sarah Doris (Pearson), Tanner Luttrell and Kylie Luttrell and was very proud to be great grandmother to Bailey and Levi Burdette, Trey and Justyn Luttrell and Peyton Doris.

Patty cared deeply about all animals and gave donations to animal charities throughout her life and was a loyal supporter of the SPCA. She had enormous love for the two cats she considered her babies. When it came to her cats, it was nothing but an abundance of the very best!

She made her whole family laugh with her sometimes outrageous and exaggerated expressions and her silly sayings. She loved her entire family despite their quirks…she worried about them, rooted for them and protected them, but most of all she always kept on loving them. She will be missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are broken by this sudden loss, as she was truly one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:30 am on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Placerville Shakespeare Club located at 2940 Bedford Ave., Placerville CA. 95667.
