Sam.... Jo Ann and I were just talking bout you at lunch today. Its Monday afternoon here n Kansas and spose to hit 100deg. 
We cant believe its been 13 years since we parted. During these years Jo and I've  talked over memories we shared. We hope that your family are doing well and being safe. 
We miss you and look fwd to seeing again one day.  Oh.... And by the way I still have your golf clubs.

I just found out about your death.  Talk about being out of it for a year.  I'm sooo sorry for the family's loss.  I met Sam when he was working for I think it was Bridges in Sacramento and he was alway a very personable and pleasant person to talk to.  I tried to keep in touch with him after I moved to OK and well I guess I didn't do so well.  Sam, you were a great person taken way before your time sir.  You have a beautiful family. And I'm sure you are forever on their minds.  God bless you sir.

SAM,You are so missed. Memories are everyday and smiles are always when I think of you. I am so proud of your service you gave to your country and I know you served it proudly and Honorably for your Country. We had alot of memorable times together and you were always so loving with my kids, you made me so proud to share them with you. You always had a good, loving heart for us all, and I thank you so much for being there for me, and in Shawn and Shannon's life. We all had alot of fun together whatever we did. Those years I will hold dear in my heart and be able to hold my head high and be proud that I loved you so much, your laughter is missed. Until we see each other again, take care babe.

When Ed told me you were gone, I couldn't wrap my head around it. Still can't. You were an always welcome addition to the crazy Daniels/Gargovich extended family. Your humor, kindness and goodness will be missed by probably more than you could have known. Peace to you on this new ride and peace to your family.

I don’t even know how to begin to write something like this. You were an amazing person to my family and were loved by all who met you because of the man you were, and the man you will be celebrated as. Thank you for being the type of family friend, basically family, that I could look up to and admire as a child and in to my adulthood. I wish with all of my heart I could have seen you since our return from Iraq. I wish I could have met your wife and children before your passing, and I will make it a point now to meet them and do anything and everything I can for them and the rest of your family. You will never be forgotten and you will always be missed.

BREAKER

Donna and I just had the opportunity to meet Sam at the Cielo Estate Winery where Kirk and Reba were playing on 7/22/11. Sam and I traded war stories and the veterans in the crowd to include Sam and myself were treated by Dan from the band singing Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American". Although we served in different wars, different branches and are different ages the camaraderie was still present and accounted for. Based on that evening, and as I reflect on the other comments about Sam they all ring true. Fun loving and extremely dedicated to his country. I know he will be missed and remembered by all that knew him and loved him.
