Sarah Harrington

April 26, 1927 – October 15, 2010

Last Friday I lost my Mother unexpectedly. If anyone had the opportunity to know Sarah they would have been blessed. Her love and compassion for people was a virtue that we should all strive for in our own lives.

Sarah was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1927. In 1947 at the age of 20 she married my father John P. Harrington after his return from the war. Mom had four children, John P. Harrington, II of Murrieta, CA, Richard Harrington of Placerville, Stephen Harrington of Shingle Springs and Daniel Harrington of Glendale, AZ. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Sarah lived most of her life in southern California and moved to the Placerville area in 2006 with a short stay at Eskaton assisted living in Cameron Park and then to her own home in Greenstone Estates in Shingle Springs.

Life was an adventure to Sarah and she enjoyed every aspect of it with open arms. The table at Thanksgiving and Christmas will be one plate short from now on.
