Shirley Ann Mason

She was a lifelong resident of El Dorado County, born in Sacramento and raised in Shingle Springs by her parents James and Mildred Skelton. The third of five children, she attended El Dorado High School and Jr. College.

Shirley is the beloved wife of 48 wonderful years to Wally; the loving mother of Sandra Glover, Tammy Ingram and Erick Mason; devoted grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 1. She is also survived by her brothers Bobby, James, Thomas and Rodney.

She loved the great outdoors, especially the Sierra Mountains and they will always be her home. She loved hiking, and fishing, including her flower and vegetable gardens. But her favorite pastimes were bowling and gambling with her husband, friends and family.

Shirley has a kind spirit and loving heart for family, friends and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service, Saturday, July 09, 2011 at 11:00 am (visitation 10:00 – 11:00) at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA. Interment to follow at Placerville Union Cemetery.
