Teresa Ann Egbert

Teresa Ann Egbert, age 69, passed away surrounded by loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer on March 25, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. Teresa was born to James Floyd Hamner and Jettie Ruth Hamner on June 10th, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Teresa’s parents moved from Alabama to El Dorado County in Northern California with her and her sister Patty. Then Teresa became a sister to 2 more siblings Jim and John. Teresa met Wayne at Chucks in Placerville and they were married on Dec 14, 1967 and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Together they raised 2 sons David and Mark Egbert. Teresa will be remembered for so many wonderful qualities which include being a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother “NANA”, beloved sister, respected coworker and wonderful friend. Those who speak of Teresa know her to be kind, generous, loving, strong, a vibrant laugher, and a great woman. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents James and Ruth Hamner. Teresa is survived by her husband Wayne Egbert and her sons David Egbert (wife Maria), Mark Egbert (wife Kristin) and her 5 grandchildren Grayson, Preston, Benjamin, Brodie and Qyona; as well as her sister Patty Kroeker (husband Ken), brother Jim Hamner, and brother John Hamner (wife Robin).

Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday April 6th, 2018 at Chapel of the Pines in Placerville, CA. Family and friends will gather immediately after at the Cold Springs Golf and Country Club from 3:30-5:30pm.
