Twila Ann Grasmick (71) joined the angels in Heaven on October 20, 2021, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Dawn Atchley; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 8 stepchildren; 4 nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Twila was born on February 17, 1950, to the late Maxine Lacy and Lloyd Lacy in Yreka, CA. Twila started working as a waitress when she was 22 to earn some extra money and never left the business. She met her husband, Charles Grasmick while she was working at Withams truck stop in Medford, OR. After relocating to El Dorado County in 1989, she worked at Diggins in Diamond Springs and later had the opportunity to become the proprietor of The Waffle Shop on Broadway in Placerville, CA. In 2005, Twila and Chuck opened C&T’s Restaurant in Pollock Pines, CA. Twila loved to travel, especially spending time on the sandy beaches in Mexico with her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling with her friends, baking, sewing & knitting and her specialty was transforming laundry baskets into baby bassinettes. She was a proud supporter of the local 4H auction and donated to almost every charity that asked her. She unselfishly touched the lives of many creating wonderful memories we will never forget!
Twila was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; her mother Maxine and father Lloyd; and her brother, Daniel. Twila will be laid to rest at Noon on November 6 at Stearns Cemetery in Talent, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held in Placerville at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Snowline Hospice.
