Verl Curtis Donley, Jr.

Verl Curtis Donley, Jr. died on Monday June 4th, 2018, at the age of 71, at his home in Placerville that he shared with his sister Connie. Connie was with her brother when he passed. He was born on February 10, 1947 in Long Beach, California to Verl Donley, Sr. and Bonnie Marie Faulk/Donley. Verl served in Vietnam in the US Army 101st Airborne Division and the Army Rangers from 1965 to 1968. He also served in the Navy as a machinist on the USS Sperry from 1976 to 1981. He was honorably discharged from both and was awarded four medals. Verl was a lifetime member of the NRA and a gun enthusiast. He loved to relax and fish with family. He is survived by Alice Raggio, to whom he was married to from 1968 to 1976; his two daughters Bonnie Marie Donley-O’Brien and Shananne Donley-Hutter; his sisters Connie Marie Donley and Judith Donley-Romeyn; his grandchildren Nicholas O’Brien, Katie and Sara Hutter; his nephews Shane, Todd, and Bobby Farmer, and Gregory Gerbing (deceased); his niece Tiffany Gerbing; and grandniece Alexandra Farmer.
