I have so many wonderful and fond memories of my Uncle Vernon that I will always cherish.  He had an unforgetable sense of humor and when he and my Dad, Charlie, would get together they kept everyone laughing practically non-stop.  So many, many good times!!!
Uncle Vernon had such a kind and gentle spirit about him.
He was a loving husband to my dear sweet Aunt Margaret and a great father to my cousins, Mark, Greg and Bob.
He was always a caring brother to my mother, (his sister) Helen Cipperly.
He always made an effort to attend family gatherings, and he even took the time to attend both of my daughter's weddings in recent years.
In the past 11 years, we would take trips to Pollack Pines so that my mother, brother and I could visit Uncle Vernon and Aunt Margaret and we always looked forward to our time spent with them.
It was a privilege and honor to know him.  He made life happy and fun and enjoyable and was a role model for so many people that knew him. 
He was my most favorite Uncle, and I will truly miss him.  He is in the place of the "most high" now and at peace.

My memories of Great Uncle Vernon (I just called him Uncle Vernon) are a little vague in details except oneâ€¦  His sense of humor.  I can't recall any one particular place or family function when I was a kid that really stands out except that I was always happy to see him and knew that I was going to have fun. Because, like everyone already knows, Uncle Vernon was a riot.  When Uncle Vernon and Aunt Margaret came to my grandparents; Charlie and Helen's house, it was a real treat.  For the longest time, when I was a kid I was convinced that Uncle Vernon was the center square on The Hollywood Squares. I think I asked him that once and he did the best impression of Paul Lynde, I was convincedâ€¦ Yep, it was him.
Quite a few years ago, we came up to see Uncle Vernon and Aunt Margret.  He still had that famous Uncle Vernon sense of humor and I had a great time. It was like being a kid again.  From the little exposure I had to Uncle Vernon, he left a great impression on me.  Always find the humor in things, if you can't laugh at yourself then laugh at somebody else but make them feel good about it.  He will be missed.

Grandpa Wyman, that's how I will always remember him. He was a kind loving gentle soul. He always made me feel like I was apart of the family. I met his grandaughter Jennifer and her brother Robbie w/Grandma Wyman at the  local swimming pool in Santa Clara. We were both in 3rd grade at the time. I remember Jen always talking about her Grandparents and how she adored them both. I was a regular at the Wymans house, at times I felt I lived there. I had such awesome memories being around the whole family. I remember when Jenny announced her grandparents were putting in a pool at there house boy Jenny was so excited. Jen took full advantage and had me over to swim. Grandma Wyman, always ready to feed us..I remember her awesome Tuna melts. I also remember being there hanging out and seeing Grandpa buzzing around the yard and talking to us kids. He always took the time to be silly with us, I guess he was true kid at heart. I feel he did his job well, he raised an awesome Christian family. He instilled values and they stuck like glue. Thank you Grandpa for being the best Grandpa you could be..Well done. I love you and I'm very excited you finally met the your Lord Jesus you served for so many years. One day we will all meet up with you in Heaven. I won't say goodbye, I will say see you later. Margaret, Mark, Bob, Greg and the rest of the clan....My thoughts are with all of you at this time.
So many fond memories of my favorite Uncle Vernon and the times spent with you all during the years gone by. Yes, Vernon's sense of humor is at the top of the list. The camping and fishing at Wright's Lake is a memory often thought of fondly....Times spent at your Santa Clara home enjoying family gatherings were very special.  Love to all of you and hold on to all your wonderful memories.....Irene ....and Cooper sends her love too.

Pa, Your are the best Father in law a girl could ever have. You were always there for us when we needed help with anything. You had a great sense of humor. I remember the time you meet our friend,Erv.You ran across the room and did a summersalt and landed right in front of him and then shook his hand and said "hello my name is Vernon". We laughed so hard. You are a very special man, Pa. You were a very loving man with a heart of gold. Your legacy of Love and compassion that you taught us so well will live on in all our hearts forever.We relish the knowledge that you our with our Heavenly Father now and in a glorious place. Someday ,Pa, we will all be together again. We Love you and miss your presents.

Really don't know where to begin with my memories of my favorite Uncle, Vernon. My Mother, Helen Cipperly, is the last surviving member of the 7 Wyman/Guyon children, so we go back many, many years and all of them with Vernon and Margaret were the best. I'll always remember Vernon's sense of humor and when he and my late Father, Charlie, were together the laughs never stopped. When we visited with Vernon and Margaret over the past few years and even though Vernon was suffering with this terrible disease his sense of humor still came through....some things can never be taken away! I remember my Dad and Vernon driving highway 9 from Felton to Santa Cruz when I was around 7 years old at night with the lights off on the car and just laughing the whole as they would straighten out the curves in the road....you could do that back then....but still scared the pants off me! Visits to their home in Santa Clara, swimming, pitching horseshoes and "trying" to play golf. All the great times with them at Pinecrest.....so many great memories that I will always treasure and never forget. My heart goes out to Margaret, Mark, Greg, Bob and all of Vernon's family. "My" Uncle Vernon was a great man, someone to emulate and will always be missed. Knowing that He is in a better place now gives me much confort. I love you Uncle Vernon.

I'm sorry for your loss but he's in a better place. He was loved on this earth and now in another place even more.  Love you   Jody

Vernon is my First cousin and his love of Fly fishing was passed on to me when he wrapped a 9 ft bamboo Fly Rod and gave it to me when I was about 7 or 8 years old. That same Fly Rod now hangs in a place of honor in my Den. I am looking at it now and remembering the times we went fishing together at Wrights lake along with my Dad, Elmer. Margaret and the Wyman family, our hearts are with you and we will see you at the "Celebration of life" service. Lester and Phyllis Platt
