Carolyn Tindell

Carolyn Tindell, 91, of Plainview, New York, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry, and her cherished son, Michael. Carolyn is survived by her devoted children, Edward (Patricia) Tindell and Nancy (Gerry) Bergold. She was also the proud grandmother of Nicole & husband David, Kelly and Michael, who brought her immense joy and happiness. Carolyn was deeply connected to her twin sister, Edwina Callahan, with whom she shared a lifelong bond and a lifetime of memories.

After high school, Carolyn worked at the prestigious St. Moritz Hotel in New York City, where she had the opportunity to meet and interact with many celebrities. Later in life, she began her career as a real estate agent at ERA Gatewood, a role she truly enjoyed.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her devotion to her family. She loved family gatherings and, especially during the holidays, would prepare delicious meals, with her Thanksgiving dinners being a beloved tradition. Carolyn’s love extended to her dogs they were an important part of her life, providing her with constant comfort and joy.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Her family was the center of her world, and she created a legacy of love that will continue to live on in their hearts. Carolyn’s warmth, laughter, and nurturing spirit will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever remain a guiding light to those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held for Carolyn on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11804. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X RC Church, 1 St Pius Ct, Plainview, NY 11803. A committal service will follow at St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
