Dolores was a great cook who loved to try new foods and enjoyed a nice cold beer.
She provided a safe haven for a multitude of rescue animals from dogs and cats to racoons, possums and squirrels.
A NY Yankee fan. A NY Islanders fan and always cheered on the Italian National Soccer team, Forza Azzurri!
She is survived by her daughter Laura (Michael) Chimenti and son Robert (Kristene) Perratto, her Grandchildren Christopher and Alexandria Chimenti.
A visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11803-4908, on August 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for August 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 500 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801.
The committal service will follow at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
