She was the second youngest of eight children; Josephine, William, Joseph, Angelina, Nicholas, Grace and Charles Parisi. Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, New York of Italian Immigrant parents. Although she was a child of the depression she lived a fruitful and meaningful life. Dora married Joe in 1950 In 1962, the family moved from a two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn to a brand new house in Old Bethpage. The family prospered, multiplied and lived the American dream in Suburbia with Dara being born in 1966. Sadly, Dorothy and Joseph divorced in 1980. Dorothy stepped up to the plate and following in her mother’s footsteps, operated a successful business from 1980 to 2000 while earning her GED. She loved and was loved. She is an Angel and is finally where she belongs.

To Doras family
Your wonderful Dora has gone to where the wings , so rightfully earned on this CRAZY earth, has been awarded to her.
She is the only person that I can remember who never had a bad word to say about any one or thing! Your announcement let me realize that you, too, knew and appreciated just what a special person , Dora was to you and to all who knew her.
It was our pleasure to know her while she resided at Plymouth Estates.
May she rest in peace, sincerely ,
Lorraine and Earl Rinde

I met beautiful Dora while working for her son Bruce as his secretary. We became friends immediately. After retiring from my job with Bruce , my husband and I visited and lunched with Dora and saw her at her lovely home. She was always so very sweet to us and we will never forget her kindness. Truly a beautiful outstanding woman. The Vetri family were blessed.

Dora was a beautiful woman inside and out full of Grace and Kindness. Although I don’t really know Barbara, I have known Bruce,Paul and Dara most of my life. They are all a true testament to the loving woman who raised them.
In some of my darkest moments Bruce was a kind and helpful voice of reason which again is a testament to upbringing.
Although I hadn’t seen you in a couple of years I always asked about your well-being and was very sad to hear from Bruce about your fall.
I spent Saturday night with your sons celebrating their combined birthdays Admiring the closeness they have, again a testament to their loving upbringing. Only to be followed by a call you have passed the following night. The very day you twice gave birth.
Your mind and body are at peace now and I am more than sure God has welcomed your beautiful kind loving soul into his kingdom.
Rest In Peace ❤️❤️❤️❤️
