Sending my condolences to  Diane and Family. Although I only knew Dorothy a short time I could see how special Dorothy was and how cherished she was by a beautiful loving family.

Aunt Dot was one of a kind. She was very special to Sherri and me. I was fortunate in that I got to spend time with her for a number of years when she vacated her bedroom for me while I attended the U.S. Open tennis tournament. I enjoyed listening to her stories about the family, especially those about her beloved Donald. And did she have stories. I regretted not having a recorder so I could have a living history of her life. It was very special watching her relationship with Debbi - pure magic. We took her to her favorite Italian restaurant a few times and she and Debbi would dress up, both looking beautiful. Watching Debbi enjoy her wine was a great memory. One time as we were leaving diners looked at the two of them and when Sherri told them they were mother and daughter you could see the look of awe on their faces.

We will always remember Aunt Dot. A beautiful person.

It was sad to learn that Aunt Dot gained her wings Saturday, September 20, 2025.  She turned 104 years young on July 26 and was as sharp as a tack and always on top of everything.  We always looked forward to our visits with her.   Any trip to Long Island for any reason also included a visit with Aunt Dot.  For years we would chat on the phone 3 or 4 times each week until 15 months ago when she became too weak and blind to remain at home.  We missed our many calls but Aunt Dot would request some of her visitors to call us just so she could say hello.  Aunt Dot needed to know how everyone was doing.  She would ask about everyone, including our cats, the turkeys and their poults that roamed our yard, and the deer.  She has missed Uncle Don for more than 32 years and is now reunited with him, my parents and so many family members and friends that predeceased her.  She is the last connection to our greatest of generations of our family and extended family.   We are thankful we visited with her a good number of times this year.  We did not know August 21 would be our last. It was not in our plan.  Aunt Dot always told us that she loved us dearly.  Aunt Dot will be dearly missed by so many of us.  All of us have cherished memories of such a caring, loving fun woman.  Aunt Dot was loved by all who knew her. We are all so lucky that we had such a special lady loving us like Aunt Dot did. 
Everyone should have an Aunt Dot in their life.  God Bless her.

She was my neighbor for 29 years. It was Christmas Eve one year and we had a stand in front of our house that said "Santa please stop here" and when we got back from a party of drinking and eating there was a gift on our lawn. And basically that was Dottie, that was who she was as a person. she always said that I am here holding your hand and she will be in my heart forever.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mom.  She truly was a special person .  She always made us feel that we were important and special to her . Prayers Love Denise & George
