Irene C. Gregory

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Irene C. Gregory, who departed this life on October 1, 2025, at the age of 98, born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, on February 21, 1927. Irene lived a long, meaningful life filled with love, service, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gregory. She was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter, Mary Gregory, and held a special place in her heart for Richard Fiore, a close family friend whom she loved as a son.

Irene dedicated many years to the Plainview - Old Bethpage Public Library, where she found great purpose and joy in serving the community. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Irene’s life at a Funeral Mass on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Plainview, NY. After Mass, Irene will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.

Irene’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and all who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and selfless service; one that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
