Irmgard Eberle

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Irmgard Eberle announce that she passed away on May 4, 2026. Born and raised in Switzerland by her loving parents, Hans and Irmgard Kramis, she immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 24 to join her then fiancé, Paul. They married, raised 3 children (Paul, Barbara and Theresa) and built a wonderful life together for 59 years until Paul’s passing in 2013. She will be fondly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Irmgard was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Hicksville, NY, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and volunteered for countless projects over the years. Throughout her life, Irmgard always made herself available to any family members, friends, neighbors or strangers who came to her in need. She took great pride in being a homemaker: cooking, baking and making people feel welcomed and loved in her home.

Life is but a stopping place,

A pause in what's to be,

A resting place along the road,

to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,

Different paths along the way,

We all were meant to learn some things,

but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,

Far greater than we know.

For some the journey's quicker,

For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,

We'll claim a great reward,

And find an everlasting peace,

Together with the Lord.
