Kathleen Marie Gerrity

Kathleen Marie Gerrity passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on April 8, 1932, Kathleen lived a life centered on family, kindness, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late William J. Gerrity, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage until his passing in 1995. Together they built a loving family and a home filled with warmth and devotion.

She was a devoted mother to her three daughters: Maureen Haberstroh (Brian), Diane Lemanski (Rich), and Christine Gerrity-Yacuk (Rich). Kathleen was also a proud and loving grandmother to Christian (Libby), Nicole, Jonathan, Kelly, Laura, and Brian Jr. (Izzy), who brought her great joy and pride throughout her life.

Kathleen found happiness in life’s quiet pleasures. She loved music, especially country music, spent many hours enjoying a good book, and rarely passed up the challenge of a crossword puzzle. She also had a special affection for cats, whose companionship she always cherished.

Above all, Kathleen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for her family, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home in Plainview, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 am at St. Pius X RC Church in Plainview, New York. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York, where Kathleen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, William.
