Lorraine A Courounis

Lorraine was a devoted mother to her two sons, a caring mother-in-law, and a beloved sister. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandson. Lorraine was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit.

She was an active member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Senior Club, where she formed close friendships and enjoyed participating in community activities. Lorraine had a passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures, a love for cooking and sharing meals with family, and a soft spot for Hallmark movies, heartwarming stories, and mysteries. She was an avid reader and an expert at crossword puzzles.

A visitation for Lorraine will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11803-4908.

A committal and interment service will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792, where Lorraine will be laid to rest with her husband.

Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will live on in all who knew her.
