Marion Bernadette Orlando Celenza passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 93. Marion was born in 1932 in Brooklyn to Dominick and Josephine Orlando and after receiving her BA from St. Joseph’s College she taught English at New Dorp High School and Bethpage High School. She married Dr. John Celenza in 1955 and moved to Old Bethpage NY and then to Melville NY where she lived since 1963. Marion leaves behind her son Chip (John Jr) and his beloved wife Cathy Shea of Bedford, MA. Marion was a founding member of St. Pius X Parish in Plainview where she continued as a dedicated parish leader. Marion also was an accomplished cook and entertainer having published four cookbooks including “MENU LOG: A Collection of Recipes as Coordinated Menus”. Marion was blessed with many talents and lived to share her gifts with everyone she met. She leaves behind her legacy through the many people she touched throughout her long rich life.
