Mary Wehrberger

Mary Wehrberger (nee, Donovan) passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026 after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones.

Mary lived a full and rich life best reflected by her deep faith, dedication to family, and service to others through her nursing ministry. She shared this love and her joy with everyone in her life, especially her daughter, Donna and spouse Phil, her grandsons, Tim and spouse Michelle, Robert. Christopher, and Michael, and great-grandson Timothy, her brother, John, and sister, Sister Aileen Donovan. Additionally, she was loved and admired by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Through everyone she touched, her legacy of love will live on.

While everyone left behind will miss her, she will be welcomed home by her many loved ones who predeceased her including her husband, Bobby, and her daughter, Dawn, her siblings, Betty and Phil, and her parents, Philip and Sarah.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 3-7pm at the Plainview Vernon C. Wagner (516-935-7100) and a funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 29th at 11:15 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Hicksville, NY. Internment at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in honor of Mary as she supported many causes.
