

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa DiMaso, who left this world on October 3, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on December 28, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, Rosa was a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
Rosa was the cherished daughter of the late Anna and Albert Abatemarco, and the devoted wife of 41 years to her late husband, Anthony DiMaso. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family. Their legacy lives on in their children, Anthony (JoAnn), Albert (Carole), and Susan (John) whom Rosa nurtured with endless love, wisdom, and grace.
A proud and doting grandmother, Rosa’s heart overflowed with joy for her grandchildren: Lisa (Jeff), Jimmy (Chandy), Anthony Michael, Angela (Jonah), John, and Devin. Her eyes sparkled with pride at their accomplishments, and her love was a constant source of strength and comfort in their lives.
She was a beloved sister-in-law to Mary Victoria and a treasured aunt to many nieces and her nephews, all of whom adored their Aunt Rosa dearly. Her warmth, generosity, and ability to make each person feel uniquely loved left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Rosa was a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to shop, especially for jewelry. She never turned down anything chocolate. Mallomars were among her favorite treats.
Above all, Rosa was a woman of profound faith. She left this world peacefully, safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, with the Blessed Mother watching over her which is a reflection of the deep spiritual strength that guided her throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to honor Rosa’s life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, Plainview, NY, from 2:00–4:30 PM and 7:00–9:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, Hicksville, NY. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Rosa’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
