Mr. Sinito was one of the class advisors for the Class of '68 at Commack High School. He and Ellen Le Clair were great advisors to all of us. I harbor wonderful memories of those days. RIP, Sal Sinito.

Mr. Sinito was an extraordinary teacher and leader at Commack High. I learned so much from him. He touched to many lives including my own. I would not be who I am today without his guidance and lessons. May he rest in power and peace.

Mr. Sinito was Dean of Students at Sawmill Junior High. He also taught the social studies part of our 9th grade English/Social Studies Independent Studies Honors class of 1974-75. It was a special experience that encouraged independent thought, hard work, and high expectations. I still remember all the kids in that class—it was a true bonding experience. It set me up for success in high school and college. I think of Mr. Sinito often.

MEMORIES OF SAL, BY ALL WHO HOLD THEM, ARE OF AN EXTREMELY STRONG TEACHER WITH HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR HIS STUDENTS. HIS LEADERSHIP IN STUDENT COUNCIL, BOYS LEADERS CLUB WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND. HE LEFT GREAT FRIENDS AT COMMACK HIGH SCHOOL, EACH TRYING TO EMULATE HIS EXAMPLE. A TRUE GENTLEMAN, STRONG TEACHER HE SET THE EXAMPLE FOR ALL TO FOLLOW, AS THEY STRIVED TO MEET THEIR SUCCESSES IN LIFE...... THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF MY LIFE, SAL..

Mr. Sinito was my Student Council advisor and AP European Studies teacher. He was one of the toughest teachers I ever had, even through graduate school but he was still one of the best. He expected so much from you and you wanted to make him proud. He was so articulate and intelligent and it seemed as if he knew everything about everything. When I think back to my years at CHS I always remember him fondly.
