Stephen Squitieri Sr.

Stephen was a beloved father, adored grandfather, cherished uncle, and a truly generous and caring person whose kindness touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He was the beloved father of Stephen Jr. (Nicole) and Crystal (John), and the proud and adored grandfather of Hailey, Aiden, Summer, Kayla, Ava, Gavin, Emma, and Bella. He was also a cherished uncle to Jason. His family was a tremendous source of love and joy in his life, and the memories they shared with him will be treasured forever.

Stephen had a personality and spirit all his own. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed following his team whenever he could. When music was playing, there was a very good chance the Beatles were filling the room. He also enjoyed taking quick little trips to the casino whenever he had the opportunity to get away and have some fun.

More than anything, Stephen was someone who cared about people. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand. He would do just about anything for anyone, often helping without asking for anything in return. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to be there for others were among the qualities that made him so special. Those who knew Stephen will remember not only the things he did for others, but also the warmth and love behind them.

Though he is no longer with us, Stephen’s memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. The stories, laughter, music, family moments, and countless acts of kindness he left behind will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.

A visitation for Stephen will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home in Plainview, NY, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.

May Stephen’s memory be eternal, and may the love he gave so freely remain a source of comfort to his family and friends. May his memory and love forever remain in our thoughts and hearts.
