Vita Kreinbihl

Vita grew up on Linden Street in Ridgewood Queens, NY. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. Vita worked at Chase Manhattan Bank as a teller and worked her way up to become a bank manager of her branch. She and Artie were married and bought their first house in New Hyde Park. She also called Salisbury Ct and Highland Beach Florida home.

Vita and Artie enjoyed many trips with family and friends. Vita loved entertaining and hosted many parties and holidays. Vita was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends.

She loved going out to breakfast, lunch or dinner. Vita kept the cleanest home and is probably straightening up heaven right now!

Her generosity was endless. She carried herself with such grace and dignity, despite the physical challenges and chronic pains she endured over the past few years. Vita was a true hero to all.

Vita is survived by her sister, Sally, as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great, great nieces and nephew.

A Visitation for Vita will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 655 Old Country Rd, Plainview, New York 11803. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, 500 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. An Interment will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at St Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11785.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vita's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Plant a Tree in her Memory.
