Alan Brooks Harris

Alan Brooks Harris, Sr. was born April 2, 1954 in Montgomery, Alabama, he went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 7, 2011. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the Martial Arts, jogging, weight lifting, and watching football games. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Alan was preceded in death by his mother Claudell I. Casey, and his father Dr. Henry M. Harris. He is survived by 2 sons, Alan B. Harris, Jr. and Christopher B. Harris, daughter Tiffany Thornton, grandson Ashton Thornton, sister Tanya E. Harris, brother Dr. Dwight M. Harris and wife Jettie Harris, nephew Dwight L. Harris, step-father Jim Casey, Grandmother Onorb Smith, step-grandfather John Smith. The family will receive visitors from 5-9 Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, with the family present from 6-9. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Funeral Home Chapel, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074.
