

Allan was born in Baird, Texas, the older of two sons, to Bill and Alvoree Rogers. He is survived by Rosalee Dinwiddie Rogers. Although they did not have any children, they have many friends to share their life. Allan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry.
Allan grew up in Kermit, Texas and attended the same schools as Rosalee through high school. They were married on July 20, 1956 the same day as Rosalee’s birthday because she did not want to forget their anniversary date. They were married 70 years. Allan worked around the Kermit area until he enlisted in the United States Army in October of 1957.
He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1964 achieving the rank of Sergeant serving in the Military Police Corps, Desk Sergeant, Investigator and Patrol officer. He earned numerous accommodations and truly enjoyed his time in the service of our country. Allan was very patriotic and traveled extensively at home and abroad living in several states and in Germany with Rosalee during his time in the service. After discharge from the US Army, he worked as an Intelligence Research Specialist in the Defense Intelligence Agency in the Pentagon in Washington, DC from 1967-1970 where he had top security clearance and worked on top secret projects during his tenure in the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Allan received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Sul Ross State University majoring in accounting and economics. He was also a Post-MBA graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas teaching accounting courses. He was a teacher for the Fort Stockton school district and a substitute teacher for the Plano school district.
After his time in academia, Allan worked for the US government as an accountant, a Senior Auditor for the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans affairs from 1978 to his retirement in 1995. After retirement from the government positions, he worked as an accountant for the Salvation Army, Mardel and H&R Block.
Allan and Rosalee have been members of Prairie Creek Baptist Church since September 1992 to the present where he served as Deacon and on many church ministries including choir, ELS instructor, usher, kitchen team, welcome team and the library team. He was a very strong Christian and loved serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ conducting Bible services at a local rehab hospital as well as serving with the Plano/Allen chapter of Gideon’s International. Allan was bilingual in Spanish and a very serious Bible student and taught Bible classes at his church.
